How do I use the new modules once I have downloaded them to my computer?

I installed the version 6.x and it has no wysiwyg editor. I downloaded a wysiwyg from the list provided and don't know how to integrate the new program into Drupal module section. I am surprised there is not an automatic upload where you can click and upload immediately.

I am new to this so please explain in detail if you don't mind. I saved the download to my desktop.

nickbolz-

1. Download the module and unzip or unpack
2. Upload the module folder to your online server (where your drupal installation is). You want to upload the module in yourdomain/sites/all/modules/
3. In your browser, login to drupal as an admin. Click on 'Administer', click on 'Site Building' and then on 'Modules'.
4. Find your recently uploaded module in the list, click on the box to activate it and then click on the 'Save Configuration' button on the bottom.

You should be all good to go! Then you just fin the module in the 'Administer' section to adjust settings.

Check out the drupal handbooks too (http://drupal.org/handbooks), you can find all sorts of helpful stuff there.

Good luck!

I appreciate it.
