Somehow when I assign themes to sections, the theme for the whole sites changes to the theme I'd just selected for that section.
I'd post more, but it's 5am, and my brain is dead.

I shall post again when I get up in 8 hours.

You must have selected "Show on every page except the listed pages" in the section. You must select "Show on only the listed pages." and limit this to the node path "node/12345" if only one node should be displayed in a specific theme.
