Currently userpoints acts as a payment option in ecommerce, but it cannot be combined with a payment card to provide a discount.

So it would be great if userpoints could be converted in to a discount value which would be used against the checkout price. I think there is some EC API to modify the checkout price for a discount?

Check out the contrib modules. I believe there is one that does just that.

I check ed http://drupal.org/project/userpoints_contrib but could not see anything suitable. Do you know what the name of the contrib module was? Is it even in this project ?

Ubercart has the option (found in a Contrib module) to use Userpoints as a discount method. But Ubercart is a module separate from e-Commerce.

Sorry for spamming the participants in this issue. Due to the release of Drupal 7 and the lack of time from the maintainers, I'm closing all remaining 5.x issues for Userpoints.

Feel free to re-open this issue or create a new one for 6.x or even better 7.x if this bug is still open or feature is missing for these versions.
