I have successfully installed Drupal 5.7
Want to know is there anything like step by step tutorial to create a basic site with menu and 5-6 pages likw about us , contact us, services, etc.

As mentioned, the getting started guide is a good place to start for the basics (HTML version: http://drupal.org/getting-started/5) and then you can look at the Tutorials section,http://drupal.org/handbook/customization/tutorials, and the Site recipes in particular, http://drupal.org/handbook/site-recipes.
