Default role when sharing user databases

I share the following tables and a codebase for a few webs:

users, sessions, role, authmap, sequences, smileys, tinymce_settings, tinymce_role

However on other webs than my own I have no default role and this is causing problems f.e. for the TinyMCSE module that tries to lookup a profile for my role... But because role is empty it fails with an SQL error.

When I edit my user under the user manager I cannot have an empty role. Shouldn't Drupal default me to a role instead of resulting an empty r_id?
