I installed the module but on the settings page (admin/settings/activitystream) only the option for Flickr is available. I added my API key and although I have a cron, nothing is displayed.

I get no error messages and I am confused...

The activities won't appear until after cron has run. On most systems, your drupal cron.php is run once per hour, so it can take up to an hour before items begin to appear in the stream.
