Moved web host, Contact form broken

Hi all - Drupal 6.2, Media Temple dv virtual dedicated server. PHP Version 5.2.6

I had a drupal site setup and operating just fine on a godaddy web hosting plan. I have moved the site over to the media temple plan, but have not yet moved over the domain name. I am still building out the site using the IP address of the new host til it is complete, then will transfer over the domain name.

Everything works splendidly on the new web host except the Contact form. It does what it should, even says that the message was successfully sent (upon redirecting to home page after form submission).

The problem is the emails never arrive. This worked fine on the old host.

Is it that i am sending to/from a domain name but the server is just an IP address at the moment? Any suggestions on where to look? I looked at the Drupal Reports -> Recent Log Entries and there is a standard entry, no errors or problems reported.

Thanks!
Jason

where to check for errors?

Is there a location I can check for errors after submitting contact form but not receiving emails?

If I go to
Reports -> Recent Log Entries
I see an entry for the email but it doesn't have any info about errors, etc.

FYI it's a CentOS Linux platform

Thanks,
Jason
