Granulating nodes displayed via Views

Hi,

I had a question about listing nodes via Views module. It's for my portfolio.

I have a node type "Portfolio page" so I dump all these nodes to be displayed ascending here:

http://f1vlad.com/portfelio

The question I have is: what is the best way to "granulate" nodes. I want to display each year in box. So you could visually see which year it is.

I want it to be like this:

2008:
Project 1
Project 2
Projcet 3

2007:
Project 1
Project 2
Projcet 3

and so forth.

I did see granulating function in sort criteria in Views, but it doesn't seem to do anything.
