Issue Summary
is it possible to have horizontal menus that drop down vertically.
kind of like the yui menu system ( that I can not figure out )... I just want a simple drop down.

You might want to look into different modules, like:

There was another one, which I'm currently using in one of my projects, called "DropDown Menus," but apparently it has been removed (by its authors, I believe).

Not a feature available in or planned for activemenus.
