I've been looking to launch a new version of my existing website using Drupal, but there are two things holding me back; lack of time and a lack of a vbulletin/drupal solution. My current site uses Joomla and has the vBulletin bridge plugin. So far, its been working fine. Before people jump on me and tell me to just use Drupals forums, please understand these few things. I'm migrating an existing site over to Drupal that already has a vbulletin forum running that has many custom modifications to the forum. It would be far too costly, and time consuming, and most likely not even possible at this point to merge these modifications over to the drupal forum infrastructure. Secondly, my 70,000+ forum members are already used to the vbulletin forum setup and I think it would be silly to move to a new forum software, unless it offered many valuable improvements, which is not the case with the Drupal forum. If I had any coding skills myself, I would contribute them to help improve the drupal forum, but sadly, I don't. And lastly, the time frame for launching the new version of this website and the time frame of the improvements for the drupal forum do not match up.

With that said, if we, as a community can come up with a list of features that we would like to see within the drupal/vbulletin integration module, I will start looking for a developer to code this for us. Also, if you would like to help me fund this project, that would also be greatly appreciated seeing as how I've seen a ton of people have requested this module already.

* can be used on a working site and forum with existing users;
* authentication and synchronyzation in both directions;
* automatic creation of users;
* synchronyzation of account info usernames, passwords, emails, signatures, avatars, user level
* synchronyzation of profile info when drupal profile module is enabled;
* support of drupal profile, signatures_forum, avatar_selection, birthdays modules;
* forum can work in the full window or in frame inside drupal, integration in a drupal page is under development.

It seems like these are all features that the phpbb3 forum integration module has so I believe that would be ideal for what we would need for a vbulletin integration.

What else would we need to keep in mind?

Thanks,
-Chris
