I am trying to set up a store for a client with Ubercart. I want to accept credit card payments. I get the following message....

You must enable encryption by following the encryption instructions in order to accept credit card payments.
In short, you must specify a path outside of your document root where the encryption key may be stored.
Relative paths will be resolved relative to the Drupal installation directory.
Once this is set, you should not change it.

How do I do this? I am using GoDaddy for the domain and hosting if that helps.

outside the document root means above your user account.

be it one level up from public_html or one level up from www, ultimately it depends on how you hosts servers are set up, but they must reside where the browser can't access them.

your users may feel safer, I won't go into that arena as I don't want to be responsible for storing credit card #s. Especially scary if you are on a shared server where you don't have total control over secuirty.
