Problem With New Themes(not showing new theme name at admin)

ninadbe - June 8, 2008 - 19:30

I am new to Drupal. Recently I installed a Drupal 6.2 at my domain http://bestonlineproductreviews.com.After successful installation I tried to change theme, therefore I uploaded a new theme named Admire-Orange through ControlPanel -> FileManager of my site's hosting controlpanel. I uploaded new theme named admire-orange-5.x-1.5.tar.gz at themes directory and after uploaded extracted same as mentioned in guideline. But still this new theme(admire-orange) is not showing at my adminitrator -> Site Building -Themes section.
I tried it many times but its not showing this theme there.
Can anyone help me with this? Exactly what should be reason of not showing new theme name at admin?

well

make sure the structure is intact and make sure the .info file in the theme is there and has the correct info.

You might want to try unpacking it on your desktop and using an FTP program to get the files on the server.

Thanks for your suggestion. You are right, there was no .info file at that theme therefore I uploaded new theme named contented7 at http://bestonlineproductreviews.com as there was .info file within it and it worked out. Thanks.

Versions that don’t work

These are different versions and won’t work together;- Drupal 6.2 & admire-orange-5.x. You’ll need a theme designed for Drupal 6.x.
