Hey guys, I tried loads of other CMS platforms but Drupal just swept me away. I have been using Drupal for around 4-5 months now but this project is my latest. www.thetwilightcollection.com is aimed at giving the Sims 2 fans (will expand if successful) a place to share their custom content.

It's still in development, but due to lack of knowledge in some areas I can't do some things as of yet. I'm trying to make a social network that relies on sharing content back and forth (legal content).

It's going well so far, but hit a dead end on the profile side of things.

Constructive criticism is more than welcome, I need to know how to make this site better, what will attract people?

content & a steady flow of it attracts people. Otherwise there is no reason for anyone to visit on a regular basis.

Would it be best to have some people I know get there content up there then, as I don't make content (i have done in the past) would this help?

doesn't matter who the content comes from so long as there is fresh content. If I were a user to your site and saw that the same 5 topics were on the front page, I don't see where it I'd visit your site repeatedly. Afterall ? Why would I? to reread the same content ?

hey, if you're really interested in changing the scope or feature set for user profiles, there's tons of discussion all over drupal about this stuff...personally, you'll have an easier time finding all of it by going to google and doing a site search (site:drupal.org) with assorted terms (e.g. 'enhanced profiles' or social networking profiles and so on)
