Issue Summary
If I deactivate Countdonw Timer I will be able to set the browser refresh time. In the Drupal 5 version I set this to 0 and when a user submitted some work after he was logged out, the work was still saved.
I saw some reference in the augologout.module, but I haven't been able to verify if it works. No matter what I do the work is gone if the user has been logged out and he tries to submit it.

Yes, this is important. Whenever a timeout has occurred, the work should still be saved, perhaps with an optional "save as unpublished" setting?

Moving to the current dev head.

Yes this would be very useful. Changing version to 6.x-4.x-dev
