Those two are very similar but not quite the same requests. The issue description you've just mentioned includes some warning messages (and a solution proposal) while enabling a module's feature (promote to frontpage), but this is a support-request where I'd like to override that method, since it doesn't suite my needs. So, I'm just trying to customize that feature with my own form on the frontpage and need some help.

Use the solution posted in #248157: Allow any Webform to be displayed as a block, it works equally well for printing Webforms in blocks (or anywhere else). In the future, please post the complete issue to the queue, even if you've asked it once in the forums, then reference your forum post if more information could be gathered from there.
