This issue is for tracking development towards adapting the latest 5.x-2.1 version of imagefield.
Quite a bit amount of code has changed, and I wonder what is the best approach to fix imagefield_crop (and how is imagefield-6.x related to all this..).
I have written dopry, asking for his advice on how to approach this.

Are there any updates on the progress of this?

No response yet on the dopry channel, I guess I'll just adapt to 5.x-2.1 figuring it's a step in the way towards 6.x.
I'll work on it soon, but my time is limited, patches are welcome!
