I had previously installed 5.x-1.0, so I am trying 5.x-1.2 and its not showing menu buttons. I'm getting a partial display, without any buttons but with the format, font, size menus, but it seems to work in spite of itself.
I've tried installing 1.2 on top of 1.0, i've tried 1.2 into an empty directory with the tinymce_3_0_9.zip files in what I think are the right place, nothing works.

Steve Lockwood commentedHi Pierce,
Some thoughts:
1) Have you left the old version (the one you replaced) in the modules subdirectory, perhaps by renaming it - this could cause confusion of there were two version of the module in different subdirectories.
2) It's possible it's a caching issue - I would try clearing the browser cache
3) It might be worth re-setting it to the default settings:
go to: admin/settings/tinytinymce
then: reset to defaults
I originally built the module with tinymce 3.0.8 - I don't know if 3.0.9 has caused the problem (seems unlikely) but will be trying it out fairly soon.
Hope this helps, if not, get back to me. It would be worth having a clearer picture of what's working (or not):
- does this happen in simple or advanced mode
- exactly what buttons do you see
- is your browser reporting any scripting errors, if so, what?

pierce commentedah, the tinytinymce admin -> 'reset configuration' did it....
FWIW, the earlier 1.0 version I'd originally installed had come with the tinymce files already included, i gather this 1.2 didn't.

Steve Lockwood commentedHi Pierce,
Glad that's fixed it.
It's against Drupal rules to post other people's code into my project, apparently. I discovered this when one of the sysops deleted my release. So, my "brilliant" idea of bundling everything together to make it dead simple to install turned out to be not so good.
