Ahhh, What happened to the organic groups module?

What happened to the organic groups module? I just upgraded from an earlier version and now I am so confused. Everything has changed.

1. The group home page is no longer a taxonomy-like listing of nodes and teasers, but now it is a table of node titles grouped by node type. (There is no longer a title on the group home page.) Is this right? Is this how it is supposed to be now? Is there any way to not group the posts into tables by type, but to have them all in one table by date?
2. The 'subscribe' link does not appear in the Group block like it should for non-invite only groups. All group blocks are enabled.
3. When a non-group member accesses a group home page, if there are no public posts, the error message reads "There are no posts in this group.", which implies that there are no posts public or private which is wrong. In this situation it used to say "There are no public posts...". (Note: I have gone to admin/settings page and set 'Default 403 (access denied) page' to 'og/access_denied'.)
4. The group images don't display in the Group Details block and image.module is enabled.

If anyone can orient me with these changes I would be grateful.
