Ok, so there's no default formatting options in drupal, but I want my forum to be accessible to normal web users. So I tried installing TinyMCE, YUI editor and FCKeditor (not all at once) and none of them worked. I'm using the marinelli theme so I thought it might be to do with that, but it doesn't work on the default theme either. Can someone please confirm that any of these actually work with drupal 6.2?
I currently have the latest version of drupal 6, so my guess is that a recent change did something to the text input forms that stopped these modules functioning. It's either that or there's something wrong with my install. In any case if you have the latest version of drupal and you're using a text formatting module please let me know.

Still no luck... none of them work. I've tried TinyMCE, YUI editor and FCKeditor with the default theme and nothing works. I install the module, enable it, set permissions and set it to display on all pages, and then nothing comes up. No errors, just nothing as if I didn't install the plugins at all. If someone could confirm whether any of these actually work with the new version of drupal that would be great.
Well I'm using a clean
Well I'm using a clean install of 6.2, and TinyMCE, Fck work fine. Are you following the instructions for each of the editors. As a starting point both need to be in specific directories under sites/all/modules; then you have to grant permissions to use the editor via admin/user/permissions.
