Room Booking

Hello,

I am building an intranet for a church and we need a way to book primarily rooms, but maybe also stuff like computers and other utilities down the line.

I've been looking for a long time - a really really long time - for a way to do bookings on a minute/hour basis in drupal, and there is no satisfactory way.

There are hotel bookings, which do only provide bookings pr date, and then there is some promising work being done on a drupal booking api, but that's a SOC project and will not be finished before way past my deadline.

So these are my basic requirements:

I would like a way bookable content type:

1. admin creates a room or some other bookable item that is of the type bookable content
2. the item gets its own calendar - ideally this will be color-coded - ie - available time is green - booked timeslots are red
3. users are able to book the item by clicking on the desired timeslot ON THE CALENDAR
4. this timeslot will now show as red/booked.

admin should be able to see get the details of a booking by clicking the appropriate booking timeslot.

A lot of this is really possible by using some cck, events and the excellent "ressource conflict" module, but I've had real problems getting the calendar integration going - this is the hardest part in my opinion.

And if anyone is thinking "mrbs integration" - yes I'm open to this, but I would like this to be standalone if at all possible.
