I had thought that this was a token issue, but now these token values (bookpath-raw, menupath-raw, and some others) work ok in Custom Breadcrumbs, but not in Pathauto.

as does [bookpathalias] [book-raw] [menu-raw] and just about any path alias i have tried

I also get this in the 6.x-1.0. Maybe it's the token module?

Yes, this is an issue with the token module.

Either #226074: [menupath-raw] and [menu-raw] don't seem to work for the menu stuff or #223458: Book tokens broken in Drupal 6 for book tokens.
