I'm having a strange problem with my modules in Drupal 6.x. Some of them when installed show up in the config page to set them up. Others don't appear and I cannot find there config page. Actually with Views, I installed another module that uses Views and when I activated that module the Views config page appeared in the Admin panel. I understand that not all of the modules will have a config page, or may not have a config page in the Site Config section. However, most of these modules I have worked with in the past [Drupal 5.x] modules and now that I am using their upgraded version on Drupal 6.x they seem to behave much differently.
Anyone have some suggestions? I am uploading the modules into the root/modules directory which works for sure, but maybe it's not the optimal spot?
