I'm trying drupal 6 and did a clean install on a xampp server. I tried to install the module gallery for drupal6.x after installing gallery on the server. Gallary works http://85.146.248.26/gallery2/main.php
Now when i want to configure the new module in drupal i get the error you see below.
Does anybody know how to correctly install and config the module gallery2?
I've ad Image Block' and 'Image Frame' plugins in the stanalone Gallary2 install on the server.
I read about svn as a must have, but i didn't check or done anythinnk with this because there where no guidelines i understood.
the guideline for installing the gallery module i followed is http://85.146.248.26/fileserver/doc/install_guide_module.txt AND http://85.146.248.26/fileserver/doc/README.html
Thanks for all support!!

PHP Memory Limit OK Your PHP is configured to limit the memory to 32M (memory_limit parameter in php.ini). This should be fine for embedded Gallery2 operation.
Gallery2 locations Fout There is a problem with the Gallery2 location settings. Please check below and retest. Remember that the auto-config will not work for all hosts.
Drupal Modules / Gallery2 Plugins Warning
Clean URL / URL Rewrite Warning
Initial User Synchronization Fout
Critical errors are present.
Step 1: PHP Memory Test (OK)
Your PHP is configured to limit the memory to 32M (memory_limit parameter in php.ini). This should be fine for embedded Gallery2 operation.
Step 2: Gallery2 location settings - Auto Configuration
Enter the 'Gallery2 URL or URI' and click 'Test location settings' to automatically configure the settings needed for embedding Gallery2 into Drupal. Note that the auto-config will not work for all host configurations. If you have tried it with a value you know is correct and it did not work then just use the manual configuration instead.
Errors in your current Gallery2 location settings:
* Everything seemed OK, but the Gallery could still not be initialised. Perhaps a manually entered value is incorrect.
Gallery2 URL or URI:
URL or URI of the G2 standalone location. This can be either the full URL to Gallery2 (e.g. http://www.example.com/gallery2) or the path from docroot to the Gallery2 directory (e.g. /gallery2). If using a URI the protocol/hostname are both optional.
Gallery base (optional):
Drupal path to embedded Gallery. This option defaults to 'gallery' and the embedded gallery will be located at '/jawi-online/gallery'.

lvthunder commentedTo use the D6 version you need Gallery 2.3 which isn't out yet. You can download a nightly snapshot of it though on the gallery page and it will work.

johnmullin2003 commentedHello all, thanks for your help and your support, I've just installed 2.2.5 in my drupal 6.2. But only now I get that it couldn't ever work ("Embedding API version is incompatible.") . Are you planning to release a Embedding gallery module for older Gallery2 version? Or just only for the 2.3 ?
Thanks a lot.
Best regards.
