problems I'm experiencing at drupalvaluehosting.com (DVH)
Hello,
First please don't take this as a slamb as maybe it is just me having this problem.
I'm running drupal 5.7 with the audio module, clean urls enabled and pathauto.
I also have phplist the latest version installed.
about three weeks a go phplist stopped working, all works, but when I go to process the queue it always goes to page not found. everything else on phplist is working so could it be something to do with the php.ini or .htaccess file?
In my drupal folder wich is the public_html folder I am seeing these core files, a lot of them more and more every day. I delete them, but they keep coming back.
Does anyone have any suggestions on steps I can take to troubleshoot this. I'm not sure if something with drupal 5.7 is causing this or not, but since I'm not getting help over at dvh I thought this might be the next place to ask.
Thank you.
btw: dvh is great pages load nice and fast and when I first joined there, support was top notch.

trying to resolve these problems
I have re-uploaded phplist, but still same problems, drupal seems to be fine. any help would be appreciated as I'm not hearing back from support, anyone know of other hosts with good deals that are compatible with drupal 5.x and higher and phplist running side by site?
Thanks, it looks like I may have to begin searching for a new home, wich is to bad, really liked it at dvh in the beginning. :(.
DrupalValueHosting has abandoned a number of customers
DVH has abandoned a number of customers. Their outstanding service took an absolute nose dive. They have been completely unresponsive for weeks for me and some others in the DVH forums. There was a general email sent saying that they were moving / fixing servers, hiring people ("growing pains!") and would have all tickets resolved by the June 21st. Not even close - my June 12 and subsequent tickets are ignored. Now the only effort I see is to delete any negative posts from their forums. Unresolved tickets, broken sites, paying for hosting and never getting start-up info, are just some of the forum posts that are now gone. I'm really sad to say that search a promising start has turned so bad. I hope they fix all that is broken, but as of now, DrupalValueHosting = Fail.
Recent Forum topics deleted (hidden) in forums but that I still had in my browser history:

dvh feeling abandon, looking for new host suggestions
Hi,
Well nothing has changed at Drupalvaluehosting (dvh), does anyone have any hosting suggestions I'm in need of quite a bit of space and any of your suggestions would help me decide on a new hosting home if and when it comes down to that.
Thank you.
Amit has been totally AWOL.
Amit has been totally AWOL. I hope it was worth ruining his business over. He was okay at first then totally gone (with my money, naturally). One place, www.ace-host.net, is very fast with smart technicians who are happy to help you at midnight over the weekend. I quit DVH because he was going to cost me my clients.
That's too bad. I've been
That's too bad. I've been really happy hosting with DVH, but I also haven't needed to submit any tickets for a few months. However my sites are never down and always load quickly. I hope they don't go out of business. The few tickets I've ever submitted were always answerd in a timely manner by Amit. Sad to hear he's gone AWOL, especially with his history (which I found out about after buying a hosting plan) I had hoped that he was going to try and change his rep with this new venture ... :/
How is DVH working right
How is DVH working right now? I'll probably get a dedicated server with them, but I was wondering if some of you could give some more opinions...
at this time I'd say no
Hi,
Regretfully at this time I would say no, not until something changes. I'm just trying to backup all of my domains in case they go away suddenly as it appears there is no one there manning the shop.
Get away from them as fast
Get away from them as fast as you can.
I just did hours of research on this. If you need relaxed, less technical type of support, there is Gator Hosting, aplus.net and a slew of others. If you need fast servers with smart technicians that you can reach instantly, http://www.ace-host.net/. I like http://www.simplehelix.com/ for it's quick (unfortunately ticket style) support response and their fast servers. Most of them offer a free trial.
they're ignoring me as well
This is horrible. So much work undone. I can't even get into Cpanel to back up my files.
Not to suggest the obvious,
Not to suggest the obvious, but did you try to download them via FTP, or use the backup_migrate module to get your data?
backup migrate module
yes this should work to install and use, but since all my cron stopped working this was not up to date, simple manual run fixed this, btw: cpanel is back up now, but the backup (full backup) is no longer there so your stuck with ftp for slower over all migration.
Good luck everyone on moving away from dvh, I'm sad to say this, as my sites were up 98% of the time, it is just other things that stopped working and lack of support replies.
So it is clear: DVH is broken and provides no service
I just want to make sure that there is no mistake: DrupalValueHosting provides no service. The only service I've seen recently was a notice about being hacked to the core and some work to restore. So not only can't they help you, they can certainly hurt you. My one-year payment is gone, but worse, so is the time I spent just trying to work things out. Fail.
I would totally recommend MM
I would totally recommend MM Hosting. I just switched my site to them from StartLogic, and I don't regret it at all. The clincher for me was that the MySQL databases are on localhost, which means they run quite fast. At StartLogic, they're on remote servers, which introduced a huge lag in my sites.
