User profiles

Has anybody ever tried (and with what success rate) to accomplish to following:

A userprofile with a field that is adjusted when the profile is shown so that it automaticaly links to an external site?
For example, a user enters on his profile that he visited a country Turkey. When other users visit his profile it should show either a link or an additional button that links to a page with information of that country. A similar thing with cities.

Is that possible? If so, how to get it done.

Have you looked at the node

Have you looked at the node profile module? I think you can then make custom fields for the profile.

I have a field where a user can select a country (from the address module cck), however it is not linked to an external site. It simply shows the selected value. I need it to dynamicaly link to another website by adding for example a button 'info' that allows people who visit the profile to get information of that country or city.

As shown at http://monkeyboy.plesk3.freepgs.com/content/monkeyboy, you can see the countries that have been visited. This can be any number of countries and I would like this to be changed in such a way that I can link the visited countries to a website that shows information on that particular country. Perhaps possibly do something with the geonames module and RDF?
