vs nodefamily?

I'm not intimately familiar with the nodefamily module, so I can't speak to the differences, but there does seem to be some overlap in functionality. Nodefamily appears to be more abstract and flexible, while node hierarchy is simpler and more concrete. If you're unsure which is right for your needs, then it's definitely worth your time investigating both options and figuring out which makes the most sense.
