A common usability request is to hide the vertical scrollbar when it's not needed (like this example from cssplay.co.uk).

It would be great if we add such a cross-browser option to the front page module.

I think this is more of a theming thing than a front_page.module issue.

You can add that feature into the front page by pasting the necessary html markup into your front page settings and modifiying your site CSS accordingly..

in other words, it might be more appropriate as a handbook page snippet, rather than a new feature in the module.
