user image gallery for D6

I'm wanting to make a user image gallery for user profiles on drupal 6, Just wondering if anyone has any ideas. imagecache, imageapi, imagefields, isnt fully intergrated for use with drupal 6 and was wondering if anyone could direct me in another direction or another method with d6 modules so that I may accomplish this task, I'm not familier with PHP but have access to friends that could lend me a hand if need be, any thoughts or ideas for drupal 6 is much appreciated, :)
