It would be totally awesome if we could use invisimail as a CCK formatter for the email CCK field.

Not from me. I'm only doing D5 code if I have to for a client site at this point, and most of the fancy sites I have in the pipeline are D6-based now. (This is for one of them.) The formatter code changed considerably from CCK D5 to CCK D6, so it's not just a copy/paste job.
