Is it me, or has 'search' been removed from the forum? even www.drupal.org/search returns a page no found. Kinda bizarre.

Yes need that search back I'm sort of at a lost with out it!

First they disabled search for anonymous users... Okay, I dig that. Would have helped if they had a little "log in to search" message, but I can live with it.

Now search is disabled completely. I really wish they'd at least post a "sorry, folks, but search is sucking our resources and we've disabled it while we try to come up with a solution" message to the front. Might have saved me a whole lot of wasted time poking around looking for where they'd hid it...

really just type site:drupal.org and the text you want to search

what if i want to search a module?
what if i want to sort by 5.x version?
what if i dont want adsense at the right of the page?

but not every time is the way we want it to be

I'm sure it will come back, it's not the end of the world and there are methods that you can use to do each task you list.

including using the taxonomy in the downloads area.
