browsecap.ini and cron

First, thanks for the module. It's awesome. My problem is, I cannot get browsecap.ini to update even with cron runs. I have looked but am unaware of how often the actual browsecap.ini file is supposed to be updated. The module description says 'weekly', but 1) that is not the case with me and 2) is weekly actually needed? In anycase, am I not doing something correctly? Everything in my system is configured and working with cron runs every 15 minutes. Any help is appreciated. Thanks again.
