I would like to be able to have my users subscribe to the newsletter at the same time the create an account. Is that possible with this module. The display on registration page seems to indicate that as a possibility, but it doesn't seem to work for me.

Ok, I had a look. You might have to set the permissions for the module. Go to /admin/user/access and make sure that anonymous users have access to 'join newsletter'.

set a default value for show errors in line 88 of the module.
