Easy question... if I create a node, then delete it, then add more nodes, will the original node id be recycled and reused, or is it 'gone forever'.

Is there an upper limit to NID or is it effectively endless?

Node IDs will not be used again; It will be gone forever.

Also, the NID is effectively endless.
