The Role Signup module that node profile asks for when attempting to seperate profiles by role is deprecated by the Auto Assign Role module.

I've currently no time for this - but of course I'd happily add in a patch from the community.

As rolesignup is deprecated, I think it's ok to remove the old integration code in favour of a new one.
