Fiscal Zen - Investing, Personal Finance and Smart Spending
Hi All,
I'm proud to announce the launch of my first Drupal site: http://www.fiscalzen.com
In a nutshell, it's a blog that provides tips and insight on investing, personal finance and current online deals to help people make the most of their finances and save money.
I looked at a number of blogging and CMS platforms (Joomla, webgui, wordpress, serenity, typo3, etc.) before settling on Drupal. And ultimately, I chose this platform because I felt that it offered the performance, scalability and extensibility that I would need to grow Fiscal Zen beyond just a simple blog.
I deployed version 5.7 with a laundry list of modules and patches; but I'm happy to say that I haven't had to write a single line of code. It's currently hosted on a VPS with 640MB of RAM, but the current memory footprint (with MySQL query caching to set to 32MB) is less than 150MB. I ran some stress tests prior to putting it into production; and with basic performance options turned on, it should be able to handle 65-75k page requests per hour.
Please take a look at it and let me know what you all think...I would appreciate the feedback.

Agreed...at the moment, it comes across as a simple blog. Over time, however, I plan to add more robust search capabilities, as well as paid subscriptions.
Thanks for your feedback.
