Coolfilter Not Working

I have tried Coolfilter with no success. I followed instructions as per your own site (http://kan.k.liu.googlepages.com/coolfilter2) and even tried the instructions relating to "if rpc server still does not work". The most I see is the Q for QuickTime appearing on screen but no download proceeding. Really what I would like is to reference (rtmp) an FLV file on a flash streaming server but that didn't work either. I am happy to answer questions and provide feedback but I have no leads and really no other helpful information. It just didn't work.
I am using Safari 3.1.1 on a Mac G5 running Leopard. I have also tried it on my MacBook Pro (Intel) using same OS and version of Safari. Firefox was also tried!
Any help would be most appreciated.
