Will there ever be an option to use nodes for terms instead of the taxonomy terms?

I am sure you have great reasons for using the terms but it seems everything else in drupal is done by nodes.

A nodes version would greatly increase the number of pages a site has and also allows entry into Google's definitions.

Thanks for you module.

Why do you want to increase the numbers if pages artificially? And what do you mean Google's definitions?

how is it increasing the pages artificially? I should have said it allows for each definition to be indexed so it is more relevant if someone is searching for "redox reactions" than it would be if they got a list of definitions they would have to look through.

I was told on some seo forum that having definitions as individual pages allowed your site to be included with searches like define:Redox but i see now after researching it that it may not be the case.

I didn't mean to start a new thread when was already there, i am converting a site from Joomla and all my definitions are separate pages and I knew Drupal did almost everything by node so I was curios why this approach was taken.

The G2 module does use nodes. http://drupal.org/node/266511

With the different replacement options, the text of the definition may be included on many pages, therefore they will be indexed more frequently and "look" more important. Further, they are included in ALT text, which most search engines rank a tad higher than open text. And then there is the full glossary page that shows all the terms and definitions. I don't think SEO arguments apply here.
