custom user profile fields are not coming through

Issue Summary

I have just implemented this module and in testing it is not working as I hoped. I have many custom user profile fields set up, and when someone registers the email comes through like this:

Profile: profile_child_firstname: First Name
profile_child_birthday: Birthday
profile_child_gender: Gender
profile_child_city: City
profile_child_province: Province
