It appears that UR (http://drupal.org/project/user_relationships) is no longer being actively developed. Can I propose that the work that has already gone into UR be examined and merged into BL2? sprsquish has told me that anyone is free to fork and/or do whatever they wish with the current UR code. Current repo is on:

I'd do it myself but my coding skills are limited to things like php echo() in a template.
