B7-Blue Theme Color Change

I am trying to change the colors on the B7-Blue theme. I changed the RGB for the colors in both style.css and base.css. Neither successfully changed the color. This theme works very well with my site except for the colors (we want it to match the logo). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Make sure the selected theme
Make sure the selected theme and the style.css are from the same theme. I just tested it out by changing the B7 blue theme to black with success.
Go into admin/build/themes
-select B7
Edit the B7 theme /sites/all/themes/B7/
style.css
-edit background colours
base.css
-ADD colour to h1, h2, h3, a, h1 a, etc...
