Pageroute tutorial

Hello,

It is couple of days that I am trying to understand how to use Pageroute module, but the more I try, the more I get confused. When I ask people about it, first thing they say is: Do you want to build a custom user profile? Well, maybe yes -of course after learning the pageroute;
First I want to learn Pageroute, then I will proceed to nodefamily, nodeprofile, usernode etc. Is there any simple tutorial for it? I repeat, I want to learn pageroute solely, not combined with other modules.
