Multi-lingual site

I'm sure this topic has come up before and my searches of the forum and other parts of the site have lead me many solutions, but none of them work (for me).

Here's the scenario.

We're developing a bilingual site (en|fr). I've installed the i18n module and stuff like this:

http://example.com/en/aboutus

- and -

http://example.com/fr/aboutus

Works fine for the menu and other bits like that, but not for the actual content (i.e. the content in the Body and Title fields)

I've used the "Translate" tab on the edit page, specified the languages, authored the translated node, but nothing I do will get the French to show up in the above URL.

I'm sure there's something simple I'm missing, I'm sure it _can't_ be this difficult (after all, Drupal is the best CMS there is, right?)

Please, there must be a simple list of step to take to get this to work. Point me in the right direction?

Solution
