I'm Sura from Grassroots.org. At Grassroots.org, we have a very successful web design program where we match volunteer web designers with nonprofit organizations. Only, now, we offer upgraded hosting that finally supports Drupal. Grassroots.org runs on Drupal and we would love to get our clients on it too.

I would love to the opportunity to work with some of you! Many of our clients have never had a website before, have no paid employees and reserve all funds for their programs. You can look at clients who need a website by visiting http://grassroots.org/volunteer and clicking the "Volunteer Now!" link. Each client has different needs, outlined in the "Goals" section, but can also be contacted for additional questions. Grassroots.org is a resource to both parties for additional support, questions, or concerns.

Grassroots.org is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides free web and business development solutions to other nonprofit organizations. We provide everything from web hosting to Social Venture consulting. All of our services are free to our clients and there is no membership fee. Here is a quick description of the opportunity -- Help Raise aware of Indigenous issues with Drupal expertise

Web Developer (Drupal Focus)
The web developer is expected to have a solid understanding of the Drupal Content Management System as well as experience in web development in general.

Major Responsibilities:
- Site Setup
- Templating Support
- Custom Development
- Create custom modules per client specifications

Qualifications:
- Experience with installing Drupal, Drupal modules and troubleshooting
- 1-2 years experience in administration of Drupal website(s)
- 1-2 years experience in basic web development (i.e. HTML/CSS, FTPing files, dealing with hosts, transferring databases, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-starter, good time management skills and ability to work on a team and independently
- PHP, MySQL or SQL Server experience highly preferred
- Custom Drupal module development a plus
- JavaScript experience a plus
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations a plus
