iPhone Alley is a site devoted to all things iPhone. We're constantly changing things and adding new features. We love feedback from our users and try to adapt to what they want from an iPhone site. Recently the site was redesigned, so I hope everyone enjoys it.

That is a very impressive site. I really like how clean and slick it looks. How did you go about putting ads on your site. I am bran new at this and I do not know where to toss the code for my affiliate ads. Could you help me?

The "ad code" on our site is essentially just pasted into a div within the page.tpl. I style the surrounding div, etc and there you have it. Really simple, no modules required.

How is the news part working? Is it all vBulletin? How is that working? The comments are forum replies so I that means you are not using the Drupal blog module, are you?

Really nice site! I have some questions, if it's okay.

How is the news part working? Is it all vBulletin? How is that working? The comments are forum replies so I that means you are not using the Drupal blog module, are you?

The front end is all Drupal. To be precise, it's actually a fork called vbDrupal. The only difference is that the commenting system is done through vBulletin. Every node posted creates a thread in vBulletin and comments are made in vBulletin. The user registration and login is shared and you also get a few extra things like being able to display polls and thread topics.

Ah vbdrupal, should have known. Now I have some more questions. (sorry!)

Did you look at using say, phpbb's integration with Drupal? http://drupal.org/project/phpbb

With vbDrupal, does it mean that you now have to go to the vbdrupal site to get your updates, or can you still come here to the main Drupal site and install modules no problem? Is there conflict with other modules?

Why did you opt for the vBulletin replies as opposed to the blog module and normal replies and simply integrating the forums to have a single login?

Really digging the site, great design and you couldn't tell it's Drupal!

I went for vbDrupal right away because I really like how powerful vBulletin is. For the most part, all Drupal modules work with vbDrupal. In fact, I haven't really run into one that doesn't work. The only caveat is that I can't just upgrade to the latest version of Drupal, it has to be from the vbDrupal guys.

Secondly, I went for vbDrupal specifically for commenting from within vBulletin. It continuously draws people into the forums so they're always reminded of them.

What a nice site! If you're comfortiable with jQuery, you might want to consider jqDock which is very OSX [see demo]. There is also the iPhone plugin. Blessings! -NP

but adsense units are too bold..

change the ad unit colors to more soothing ones
