I have an image uploader running but it only posts the images into the galleries I want my users to be able to post inside of there recipe. should I just tell them host it somewhere and post the code in there post?

the image attach.module may help with this.

Where would I find that? I cant find any type of search bar when looking for the mods.

You can always locate modules by using the "Browse by Name" tab on the modules page (slow, but sometimes very useful). You can also search modules with "type:project_project" in the d.o. search box (when available) or at http://drupalmodules.com.

I use CCK and the image field.
They work great. Also check out imagecache.
