Hi!
I'm developing a module, which creates a new taxonomy vocabulary and I want to customize how the taxonomy/term/TID page appears. Particularly I want to add some info below the term name and description and above the node list.
Is there a way to do this?
The closest I got is to copy-paste some code from core taxonomy module and define my own page my-module/term/TID. But this is lame :) (And also this way I lose the huge set of functionality that contrib modules add to taxonomy)

Views / Taxonomy
You could use the views module adding a view based on taxonomy terms or names,
then you would have only one page-myview.tpl.php which you could style as you want customizing block for this view would be simple too.
Well, this requires to
Well, this requires to create new template file (page-myview.tpl.php) manually which is not so good. I hoped there is some way to overload or hook into the rendering of taxonomy/term/TID page, so my module could work out-of-the-box.
BTW, there is no need of Views, I can copy page.tpl.php to page-taxonomy-term.tpl.php and place in it a function call, which generates the output I need. But this requires theme modification, not out-of-the-box module behavior.
Any other suggestions?
