What am I doing wrong?

I followed the Readme and instructions within the activated module. But I cannot get it to work. I tried everything. Can you add more step-by-step instructions in your Readme? For example, do I need to activate "create" that type of node? Do I activate for all the fields, then set the permissions for the CCK fields I want to control? Do I need to create a role, or can I use Drupal default role of authenticated user?

I am showing no effect of the module doing anything on a "node/add/" node type.
