Fasttoggle Permissions

Description

The permissions don't seem to work. Everyone who has edit nodetype permission sees and can click the fasttoggle flags for that nodetype. This makes fasttoggle too dangerous to use on a production site with multiple editors because it is almost impossible to find out who did what since no one had to open an edit window to change the flags.

I'm using fasttoggle on one site where only I am editor but on my larger site with 20 editors for several different nodetypes, I cannot safely use it.

Not granting permissions for fasttoggle should mean that the fasttoggle flags do not appear to unauthorized users, whatever other permissions they may have. I consider this a critical bug.

It's a good point. It seems to come down to node revisions. Maybe there needs to be a test for whether new revisions are default for the given content type and, if so, a new revision created?

I don't use the revisions capability at all, so I don't think that has anything to do with the permissions problem. Unless you mean my effort to trace who did what. But I don't want to have to trace who did what, I want the permissions to work right in the first place.

yes i need this to allow users to toggle published/unpublished for thier OWN content only. just what they wrote. ;)

but to be honest - i'm not sure this should be tagged as a bug ... more of a feature request...

With the new version (currently in CVS; soon to be released), users may now only change the node when they are also allowed to update the node (i.e. when they see the Edit tab).
