Henk van Ess suggested to check out http://www.caveyourtrolls.com/smf/index.php?topic=5.msg7#msg7 and www.caveyourtrolls.com. "Would love to see you pick up the little troll
project after 24 weeks and include not only a ban, but also a cave, as described under http://www.caveyourtrolls.com/about/about.htm. Let me know if you want to do this and if you have time for it."

The domain appears to not work anymore and I don't remember what the concept was anymore. Please describe it here.

"The idea is that troll commenters are "caved", meaning they can only see their comment themselves, and no-one else can. They think their comment is left there and rejoice, but no one else has to bother with them."

Kind of gimmicky. This might end up won't fix just because I probably won't write it, but I don't object to it if someone else writes it.

Hey guys, just to let you know this was brought up in an issue for my module Misery: http://drupal.org/node/498530
Just hoping to keep the lines of communication open as these are both naughty user modules, and I don't want to build any functions that you intend to cover.

@danielb: if you write it first, I'll just point people over there. I was told about Misery only today, so I've only just now started about thinking to deprecate the Misery-like functionality and keep what's left. I still have no plans to write this feature myself.

Yar I've started a new project where we can focus on this.
http://drupal.org/project/cave
I have started an implementation already but it's not working yet.

This functionality is now provided by the cave module.
