I'm setting up a site with this menu structure (problem areas in bold):
Primary links - Section A (links to same node as Page A1) - - Page A1 (links to a Page) - - Page A2 (links to a Page) - - Page A3 (links to a Page) - - Articles (links to a taxonomy term, to display a list of nodes belonging to that term) - Section B (links to same node as Page B1) - - Page B1 (links to a Page) - - Page B2 (links to a Page) - - Articles (links to a taxonomy term, to display a list of nodes belonging to that term) - - Forum (links to the forum module)
I have set up secondary links to use primary links as sourcce.
Everything works fine and dandy so far. When I click Section A, Page A1 displays and the secondary links displays "Page A1 | Page A2 | Page A3 | Articles" just like I want it. And when I click Articles I get the listing of nodes belonging to the taxonomy term "Articles".
The problem arises in the next step, when I click on an article to view the full page. Since I'm now on a page that doesn't have a menu item the whole menu collapses. The same thing happens in the forum. As long as I'm looking at the forum and topic listings, the menu is showing correctly with the path "Section B > Forum" highlighted, but as soon as I click on a forum topic node the menu collapses again.
Is there anyting I can do to keep the menus open when I'm visiting a node that semantically is a child of a certain menu item?
(Please note that I'm running D6.2 so I can't use the Menu Trails module since that is only for D5.)
cheers

won't work for me unless I missed something
thanks, but taxonomy_menu does not seem to work the way I want it. It adds the taxonomies to the navigation menu only and not to a menu of my choice. Furthermore, it does not allow for placing a taxonomy as a child of another menu item.
I need to have the forum and articles as a child of the sections.
thanks

Ok, I see. Unfortunately it
Ok, I see.
Unfortunately it only allows for placement of a whole category. I can't place one term in one place and another somewhere else, so I guess I have to keep looking.
Anyway, thanks for your help!
